BMC-SA comply with all the relevant South African consumer legislation, particularly the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act of 2000(ECTA), which means you are covered when doing business with us.
In terms of Section 44 of the ECTA you have a 7 day cooling off period during which you may return goods to us, purely because you have changed your mind. You will be liable for the return courier fees though.

You may return goods within 7 working days in terms of our Returns Policy. BMC-SA guarantees no 'grey imports', which means that all products on the BMC-SA website is covered by the normal warranty that would apply if you bought the same goods in a normal retail shop in South Africa.
In the event that a dispute should arise between BMC-SA and yourself which needs settling by means of litigation, reading and signing off on these terms and conditions implies your agreement that the High Court of South Africa has jurisdiction to settle the dispute. All disputes will be settled in accordance with South African Legislature.
BMC-SA does not mind exchanging or refunding items which you found do not fit, was not what you ordered or was faulty or damaged upon receipt. As long as the returned items are accompanied by a duly completed returns form. BMC-SA, however urge customers to do their homework regarding sizing beforehand to prevent goods being shipped to and fro unnecessarily. Take particular care with the following: Frame Sizes: Test ride bicycles beforehand to ensure that you order the correct frame size for your riding comfort. Part(s) Compatibility: sizing & specifications are not universal and differs from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Exchange/Refund: S44 Cooling off period
In terms of Section 44 you may cancel the transaction within 7 days of receipt of the goods. You need to inform us in writing here of your intention to cancel the transaction before expiry of the 7 day period. Make sure that we receive such notification of cancellation within 7 days of you receiving the ordered goods or you might not enjoy the protection offered under Section 44. You need to arrange the return of the goods by means of door to door courier. The direct cost for the return will be for your own pocket.

BMC-SA will give you a full refund once the goods have been received back in good order
Exchange/Refund: New items
Should you find the ordered item not to your liking through no fault of BMC-SA, you are welcome to return it to us for a refund or an exchange. BMC-SA will, however, expect you to carry the shipping costs (outward and back) and will charge an administration fee of R200 on top of that. These fees will be invoiced to you and is payable by means of credit card or electronic transfer.
Please mark the return package clearly 'normal return' to enable us to process the return without undue delay and confusion.

You may expect your parcel to arrive between 3 to 5 working days from confirmation of payment by means of door to door courier service. We make use of multiple dedicated courier partners. You will be provided with a tracking number upon dispatch of your order to enable you to track your parcel. Should your parcel, however, not arrive within the specified 5 working days please contact us. We will then contact the relevant courier company to trace the packages.
